San Francisco Toffee Company's toffee bites in milk chocolate satisfied my craving for both chocolate and buttery goodness.

"This past Sunday was the 2nd annual Los Angeles Luxury Chocolate Salon. The Chocolate Salon is a chocolate show in the Los Angeles area that takes place at the Pasadena Center, where chocolate lovers can taste artisan and gourmet chocolate, as well as hear chefs and authors talk about their products.

San Francisco Toffee Company - This company was the best toffee confectioner at the show, offering excellent crunchy, buttery almond toffee covered in white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and espresso dark chocolate."

"We opened our shop in Palm Springs in 2007 and San Francisco Toffee has been one of our best sellers from the beginning. In our search for new and exciting products, we are always trying different toffees. The consensus is always the same, there isn't a toffee that we have tasted that has the buttery goodness of San Francisco Toffee. Try some for yourself and you'll see what we are talking about."

"One of the many perks of working at an elementary school are the unexpected, gracious gifts of appreciation the parent/students bestow upon teachers and staff members. The favorite gifts of all are those of homemade bakery items and "sweets". Growing up my kids were the first to raid the "goodie" bags the moment I walked through the door around the holidays. When I began receiving cans of San Francisco Toffee, and it was the first to be consumed in less time then it took to walk through the door, I had to come up with another plan. I hid my toffee in places that my children would never look, the dishwasher, the laundry room and I have even resorted to locking the yummy treat in the trunk of my car so that I could enjoy the San Francisco Toffee at my leisure and truly savor the joy! Selfish I know, but hey...they are in their 20's now and still call me asking if I am still receiving "that can of San Francisco Toffee". My answer is..."I'm sorry, but I do not receive it anymore". Nothing wrong with a little white lie in the name of chocolate pleasure, is there?"

"First to have to beg for candy is something I generally do not have to do since I am the principal of a large elementary school, however when asked which kind, dark or light chocolate San Francisco Toffee I would prefer for Valentine’s Day, I immediately pointed out the end of January was my birthday. So the next morning I was greeted with two cans, one light and one dark chocolate of my favorite San Francisco Toffee and the saga begins.
I hid the candy so that I did not eat the entire can during the first day I received it. I was on a diet so I took it home and set it in an obscure corner of the kitchen. I did treat myself to one…..two….okay, three pieces as my reward for not consuming all of it during the day. After all, three pieces could not completely ruin the diet, right?
The next day I arrived home from school knowing that I had a wonderful treat waiting for me. I walked into the kitchen and immediately went into a confused panic. Where were the two cans? I searched every corner and I figure my husband had not found them in the obscure corner I had left them the night before. Wait! The cleaning lady was at the house today, could she have TAKEN them. Oh my gosh, now I am out of my favorite chocolate and I would have to find a new cleaning lady, talk about stress. I took one more look in a corner cupboard, there they were, however, it was apparent the culprit was my husband, the light chocolate toffee was opened. No fear, he had just opened the light chocolate so I will hide the dark chocolate and our marriage should survive.
The next day was calm, I found my dark chocolate San Francisco Toffee when I needed and was quite happy. Saturday arrived and we had good friends coming to dinner. My husband and I talked about the menu, even the dessert and all was good. Well, until dessert. After serving frozen yogurt, multiple flavors, respecting everyone’s diet, my husband, almost late husband, announce “Oh, you guys have to taste the toffee!” I am giving every signal I can but the words were out so I graciously got the can of light chocolate toffee for sharing. NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR MY FORMER HUSBAND, who states “oh if you like the light chocolate, you gotta taste the dark chocolate”. HUH?  How did he know?  I had kept that hidden. I had failed to count the pieces but I checked that the light chocolate was being eaten everyday, I just figured I had it all under control. The glares were loud across the table, and since he is so good at picking up on shuttle clues, he continues “Get it for them, they will love it.” I was stuck. With my marriage, now definitely on the rocks, can I risk losing these good friends…… there was a debate taking place in my head. Finally, I got the toffee, they loved it. The only positive outcome was that I was able to stick to my diet.

Sunday was a peaceful day, after I gave my husband a lesson in sign language, glares and the importance of NOT eating without asking permission. But when the end of the evening arrived, when I really wanted just one small taste of San Francisco Toffee, the value of marriage and friendship did cross my mind."
